The Modernization of a Fairy Tale

As we know the Grimm Brothers tales have been told for many generations now and will continue on for many to come. The tales have been re written and re created many hundreds of times and the continued persuit for perfection and adaptation still goes on in the modern era. 

Designer and Graphic artist Andreas Karpf published a book comprising of some of the most famous and gruesome tales from the Brothers Grimm in 2009 as part of a design diploma study. The results are one that stay true to the original text but are comprised with quirky illustrations that draw the reader into the text and represent a modern and stylized view of the stories.
